The Siliguri-Katihar Intercity Express Train, which had been stopped since August 13 because the floods between Telta and Sudhani had damaged the bridge, has resumed its services now.
As per sources, the damaged bridge was repaired with the help of the army. Because of being surrounded with international borders, this particular railway section is very important.
The people had been facing endless troubles ever since the train had been suspended. Nepal resident Pratima Rai shared, “It is a relief that the train services have resumed. It was very difficult to travel between India and Nepal via the bus.”
