Seven killed in separate road accidents in Bihar – Web India 123






Seven people were killed and four others injured in separate road mishaps in Samastipur, Arwal, Patna and Supaul districts during the last 12 hours. A Samastipur report said three youths were killed when the motorcycle they were riding in hit a stationary truck on NH 28 near Satanpur village under Ujiyarpur police station area in the district late last night. They were rushed to Samastipur Sadar Hospital where they died while undergoing treatment. The youths, identified as Vikas Kumar (21), Mahesh Kumar (20) and Deepak Kumar (21) were on way to Dalsingh Sarai. The bodies have been sent for autopsy, police added. A report from Arwal said a bus, with a marriage party on board, hit four people standing on the road in which two of them were killed on the spot and as many suffered serious injuries near Sanjeevan Dargah under Kurtha police station area in the district this morning. The vehicle, which was heading to the marriage party’s naive village, then turned turtle and injured another.

Identities of the deceased were yet to be ascertained. The bus driver escaped from the spot. The injured had been admitted to Arwal Sadar Hospital after their preliminary treatment at Kurtha Referral Hospital. Villagers blocked a local road to vent their ire against the accident. Senior civil and police authorities reached the spot to lift the road blockade.
