Nine minors, all of whom are residents of North Dinajpur, were rescued by the railway police from the Kishanganj Station in Bihar.
Five of the minors are residents of Karandighi while the others are from Gwalpokhar, Chakulia, Hemtabad and Raiganj.
It has been reported that the minors were being taken to Ludhiana in Punjab on the pretext of provide employment at a cycle factory. The police, however, did not find any clue that could lead them to the traffickers.
The Kishanganj District Administration has handed the minors over to the North Dinajpur District Child Welfare Committee.
