Father-in-law bobbitised in East Champaran village – Times of India

A 35-year-old village woman and mother of three children bobbitised her father-in-law after he made an abortive bid to outrage her modesty on Sunday night at Kundawa-Chainpur village in East Champaran district. SHO Kundawa-Chainpur police station Abhay Kumar said, on getting information, he went to the place of occurrence and after inquiry found the incident to be true. He said police are trying to locate the place where the tormentor is being treated.”The victim woman’s husband works in Darjeeling and she lives in the village with her father-in-law. She was sleeping in her room with her three children when her father-in-law entered her room and tried to outrage her modesty. According to the villagers, she raised an alarm but it failed to deter her him,” said the SHO.

Teachers’ Day at Sainik School: Teachers’ Day was celebrated at Sainik School Nalanda on Monday with a cultural programme in the evening. Kaushlendra Kumar, MP, was the chief guest. School principal Col Amit Chatterjee appreciated the teachers’ role in shaping their students as responsible and disciplined cadets. 2 Maoists held: Two Maoists of Tumahawa Matiaria village under the Matiaria police station area in West Champaran district were arrested in Gaunaha on Sunday. Matiaria police station SHO Anil Kumar said Sheonarain Mahato and Manager Thakur were wanted in several cases of murder, loot and firing and had been evading arrest for almost a decade. They have been sent to the Bettiah district jail.

17 bags of foodgrains seized: The Dhanaha police on Sunday recovered 17 bags of food grains meant for BPL consumers from PDS dealer Jitendar Singh of Ranglahi under the Dhanaha PS area in Bagaha. SHO Ganesh Prasad said Madhubani block’s marketing officer Gulam Sahid lodged a case against the dealer. A pickup van in which the food grains were being carried was also seized.

3 held with liquor: SSB jawans arrested three men carrying 10 bottles of Nepali liquor and seized two bikes near the Gandak barrage under the Valmikinagar PS area in Bagaha on Sunday. Shashibhusan Prasad, Ashok Kumar Mahato and Munna Bhagat were handed over to the Valmikinagar police station, said a source.

4 wood smugglers nabbed: At least four wood smugglers of New Colony were arrested by the Valmikinagar police on Sunday and sent to the Bagaha jail, said SHO Golden Kumar. Pramod Biswas, Paritosh Chandra Biswas, Raju Thapa and Mohan Ram had been evading arrest for several months.

3 live bombs found: Three live bombs were found in a field on the Aanar-Jamua link road under the Bihiya police station area in Ara on Sunday. Children playing in the field found the bag and informed the villagers who in turn called the local police.

Rajballabh sent back to jail: Suspended Nawada RJD MLA Rajballabh Yadav, who was on 15 days parole following the death of his father, was sent back to jail by a Nalanda court on Monday.rom Nalanda has been languishing in Biharsharif jail since March 10.Sunday. Ashutosh Paswan, who was to be sent to judicial custody, managed to escape in broad daylight on the pretext of attending nature’s call by duping the chowkidar. SHO Sunil Kumar Sahni said police teams were conducting raids to nab the criminal.20 cartons of IMFL seized, 4 arrested: The Rajauli police on Monday foiled the attempt of four men to smuggle 20 cartons of Indian-made foreign liquor (IMFL) from Jharkhand. SHO Sanjay Gupta said the culprits, identified as Sandip Kumar Bhadani (32), Tulsi Sao (48), Ramnath Prasad (45) and Ramnath Kumar (20), were arrested and two cars seized. Incidentally, over 1000 IMFL bottles have been seized by the Rajauli police in Nawada in the last fortnight.
