Education officials asked to verify certificates of new teachers – NYOOOZ

Summary: PATNA: The state education department has instructed the district education officers (DEOs) and regional education deputy directors (REDDs) to verify the certificates and documents of trained and untrained teachers after their recruitment in government schools or be ready to face action if any fraud is detected later.
“Now on, all the new trained and untrained teachers will get their salaries only after verification of their documents by the DEOs and REDDs.
“Singh had retired in 2011,” he said.The case is pending with the Lokayukta and Singh has admitted committing the fraud .
“A department official, Ramchandra Yadav , detected the forgery in Singh’s BEd certificate,” Arwal DEO Krishna Prasad told this newspaper on Tuesday.
If the officials failed to detect any forgery, they will have to compensate for the losses incurred to the department due to their laxity,” principal secretary (education) R K Mahajan letter issued on Monday states.

According to the Newspaper,”Singh had retired in 2011,” he said.The case is pending with the Lokayukta and Singh has admitted committing the fraud . The department has decided to recover the salary paid to the tune of Rs12,93,271 from him. The next hearing of the case is on November 3, 2017..
