Tirhut zone inspector general (IG) Sunil Kumar, who chaired the meeting, said the decision to initiate disciplinary action was taken in the light of chief minister Nitish Kumar’s recent directive for “exemplary punishment” to policemen who had been letting illegal liquor trade flourish.
